A2: GO GAGOSIAN!

Gagosian Gallery's website is a great source for artists, not only does it showcase it's exhibitions at its eleven various locations, but also gives a good amount of information about each artist and their work. It gives information about each of the galleries, including contact information, location with a map and gallery hours. The website provides links to search either by location, by artist or by publication. The site also has links to a store and other art related news. Due to the Gagosian Gallery's reputation, the viewer knows that it can use the site as a reliable and honest source of information.

Even though the artists featured are limited to those that have, currently, or will be showing at one of the Gagosian Galleries, the list is considerably extensive and serves as an excellent source to find artists. There are three categories in which the artists are separated- past, present and future. Each artist profile is comprised of various links, including: press release, catalogue view, artist biography, artist work, publications, artist exhibitions, et cetera. These profiles provide a sufficient taste of images and information about the series of work to invite and inspire viewers to further research that particular artist. 

Other aspects, such as the "news" and "store" links give the viewer even more opportunity to learn about more in the art world. The "news" section provides information regarding other exhibitions and happenings in the art world outside of the Gagosian Galleries. The "store" section allows for viewers to purchase publications, artist editions, posters and t-shirts. Another feature of the site is a "featured work" link which showcases different artworks. 

The layout of the website is clear and simple. It displays the work on a clean white background for optimum visibility and at a good resolution. The links are placed right on top of the page, so they are legible and easily accessible. The first page that shows up  displays each of the showing galleries, each one organized with an image of the current exhibition, the dates for the duration of the show, along with contact information.

Although the site primarily covers artists and work that is shown through their own galleries, it will always be an incredible source for finding upcoming, as well as, past artists because of it's prestigious reputation and reliable resource for information.
